We will create our own unique aromatherapy blend to take home, and tap into our imagination by creating a vision board to represent our dreams, hopes, and desires. Light refreshments will be available to ignite our senses and nourish our creativity. Art materials will be provided, but if you have magazines or specific materials you would like for your vision board, please bring them with you. |

Introduction to Trauma-Informed Yoga & Mindful Movement

Time: 1:00 - 6:00 PM CDT (In-studio Only) Cost: $100 Description: A workshop for yoga teachers, mental health professionals, school teachers, or anyone wanting to learn tools for regulating the nervous system. 6 CEU’s available. This 6 hr. workshop provides an overview of trauma across the lifespan. We will discuss its impact and explain what it takes to be trauma-informed, offering helpful tools and exploring proven models of trauma-informed care including tools from the growing field of trauma research, yoga, and mindfulness to better manage symptoms of trauma and chronic stress. A trauma informed movement practice focuses on feeling safe and at home in our bodies to promote greater self regulation and resiliency. This workshop will cover:

Details: This 15-hour course is an opportunity for transformation. Step into a space that is designed for you to safely dive deep within yourself, to heal any wounds life has left you with and to tend to scars of struggles you’ve overcome. Divided over 3 days you’ll be presented with a balanced program of lecture, writing, breathing and movement. The aim is for you to reconnect with yourself on a deep level, to reconcile with events in the past, to explore your direction in life and to learn techniques that will help you immediately to manage stress, anxiety and depression. The added value to this in-person course is that besides the personal journey you’ll be on, experiencing this work as a group creates a supportive community. You are not alone. |
